A little about us
Gifted Youth Music & Arts Studio originated in New York City. The founder, Terril Grant, recently relocated the music school to Fort Mill, SC. Gifted Youth is a Christian based music school but welcomes everyone from all backgrounds. They pride themselves on creating a safe environment for all by implementing Christian values.

Terril Grant
Owner and Program Director
Terril is a young entrepreneur, speaker, multi-instrumentalist and operations specialist who loves seeing the gospel fulfilled in people's lives. He has been playing music for over 20 years and has lead multiple groups to win countless awards

Nia Wylie
Piano and Vocal Teacher
Nia Wylie is a Christian singer-songwriter (Nia Purpose), speaker, and entrepreneur. She was born in Rock Hill, SC and raised in Fort Mill, SC. “Nia” is a Swahili name meaning “purpose", and her music contains relevant messages that resonate with the soul and encourage all to serve God with purpose in spite of personal imperfections. In 2020, Nia (Nia Purpose) won her first award for Best Female Gospel Acapella Artist at the Victory Gospel Awards Fest.

Justin Dorsey
Piano Instructor
I have been actively involved in music ministry as a musician or minister of music. My passion is leading people into an intimate encounter with God through worship. My goal is to be connected to a local body of believers who are committed to a divine mandate from God. To communicate His love and compassion to lost and hurting people of all cultures and backgrounds.

Julius Rowe
Drum Instructor
My name is Julius Rowe. I have been drumming for 18 years. My love for drums came early in my life and has never left. I started with just a snare drum playing percussion throughout school, and over the years, I grew into a professional drummer by high school. My passion for drumming is only outmatched by my determination to do great and to help others be great.

Riley Grace Hale
Drum Instructor
Riley Hale is currently a freshman percussionist and Performance major at Vanderbilt University (Blair School of Music). She has studied with numerous instructors, including: Ji Hye Jung and Lee Vinson of Vanderbilt University and Professor Ricardo Monzon of Berklee. She originally started her musical career in the Fort Mill High School Percussion Ensemble, where she was able to move to marimba in the 8th grade. As well, she has worked in various Region and Allstate level clinics and was principal chair her sophomore year. There have been several percussion camps that Riley has worked in, primarily being the Berklee Groove School in Boston, Massachusetts.

Charles Page
Drum Instructor
Charles J. Page was born in Washington, DC.He began playing the drums at the age of four. At the age of ten, he became the drummer at his! home church. His talent was recognized in many venues within the metropolitan area, which allowed him the opportunity to perfect his musical gift. In 1988, he was awarded a scholarship to the Levine School of Music in Washington, DC under the direction of Mark Rendon. The following year, he was awarded a full music scholarship to Alabama State
University in Montgomery, AL. Charles is a versatile musician that plays a variety of music including: Gospel, Jazz, Country, Swing, Rock, Funk,R&B, Bluegrass, and Latin.

Corinne Perera
Piano Instructor
Originally from Malaysia, Corinne Perera is a Sinhalese talent trained in the Classical genre. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music and graduated with honors from Middlesex University, London. Corinne also holds an MBA in IT Management and a PhD in Educational Leadership. Her completion of 8 Grades in Music Theory and Piano Practical Examinations with The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), formed the foundation of Corinne’s early years in music. More recently, she also pursued Praise and Worship Christian Music for keyboard. Corinne uses a more classical, disciplined approach to teach students the basic foundations of piano playing, paying emphasis to notation, rhythm, technique and posture. She strives to find improved ways of developing students individual unique talents, strengths and creativity through performance, composition and theory. Corinne also conducts In-Home Zoom lessons for students who prefer to have online facetime lessons from the comforts of their homes. Besides her passion for teaching music, Corinne also works concurrently on 2 academic book projects as Co-Editor and Co-Author and she is known for her book chapters and journal publications in Gamification in Education and Flipped and Blended Learning.
